The base in the video is called the phalanx, and again im not recommending a base design here but just what they say in the beggining of the video.

while i agree with everything he said, base building on PC is online focused. due to rust+ and hyper advanced progression compared to console. console building is focused on being absurdly cringe with turrets and having a complete chonker bc there are absolutely 0 defenses to an offline on console

cdpiercys bases are probably some of the best built on console when it comes to offline protection. are they great meta snowball bases that’ll give you an amazing online defense? probably not. but when the 8-man is waiting on your name to disappear from the player list to pummel your base it’s better to have a non-meta chonker

The dude clearly linked the video as advice, not for the actual base. Plus console raiding is nothing compared to pc raiding. The base that hasn't been fully raided in 4 years, would most likely get fully raided on pc. I can almost guarantee it. No base is unraidable

Honestly there is no good meta for console. It doesn’t matter how many peak downs, wide gaps, or whatever else you have. There’s always going to be a group that would/will offline you. That’s rust. If anything, @astral pivot has the right idea. Make the bases as offline defensive as possible. Because even if they get to some of the loot, doesn’t mean they have to get to all of the loot. And as @gaunt inlet said, PC rust is way different with raiding. You can easily turn an offline into an online with Rust+.

Yes and no bc who tf would want to farm their whole as wipe just to still get offlined bc u have a big Ah base.

Just make a smaller base that is defendable and sealable so that u can enjoy playing rust instead of being scared to get offlined without having a good wipe.

With this play style i get onlined average 10 times a week across 3 servers

And no raiding on pc is not any different from console, its the same amount of sulfur for a rocket

• people are actually getting smart now and are learning how to siege raid(i have been for a long time already)

I've built small bases and starters that don't even have a shooting floor and they'd still wait to offline better to be prepared for the worst than to not be and restart from scratch

my mains are mainly always big nowadays because of how much gear fear groups and zergs have for onlines and pvp

I've played pc for nearly 5 years total, it is different in style, not in amount of boom required. most pc players will not farm 150+ rockets to raid one base like console players will. In the 1200 hours I had on console, I got ONE online raid. In a week on pc I'd get 3-5 onlines. The gameplay is different, which in turn requires different base styles.

I love being onlined but in my time playing console rust excluding pc I've been onlined 6 times and 5 of the times only happened because I gave the raiders my own boom just to online me and sometimes even supplied the frags and hqm for a raid base and kits to pvp with occasionally meds

Play a comm server where you get zorp, they cant offline you then and getting onlined is increased because of it

A Bedwars comm server would be cool but sadly not possible yet

Buddy I’ve played the game since it came out. In the first year or two people did online. It changed over time.

The grizzly on yt has a suicide bunker in sf whilst keeping the base very good, online and offline protection can coincide and meta does exist on console
