I'm a casual player and occasionally get a few evenings here and there and once a month maybe a weekend to play, Rust is by far the hardest game to step into PvP wise I've played on console. Other games like Apex and CoD are miles easier to just hop into. Anything that benefits people who suck like me I'll be happy with

Player retention is just as important as player aquisition. Dumbing the recoil down is just going to make a lot of the people who spent time learning the recoil want to leave the game because now anybody can pick up a gun and shoot
