Please bring a global text chat to rust.

This allows so many other different play styles to come through, and the game definitely misses it compared to its PC counterpart

I mean I wouldn’t say it adds playstyles but definitely adds abuse but that being said it’s one of the fun things about pc

they have a report tab for verbal abuse, i dont see why they couldnt add one for text chat- give like 1 or 2 warnings then ban them temp on servers theyve been badly text chating on

No i get that, i was just clarifying that they have report features. i really do like the idea of global chat. Although the console side of rust is full of 10-year-olds so i wouldn't be surprised if people just spammed "you're getting raided" or verbally harassed others all day

Honestly that’s what I want it for, I’m getting older now finishing college and stuff looking for work I don’t got the time like I used to I just wanna anger the 10 year olds into raiding me

Considering that I barely go a wipe (regardless of server) without seeing someone has made a giant swastika, I can't imagine the player base can be trusted to behave with global chat...

Definitely does. You get a lot more trades and stuff being done, farmers etc and it’s great for solo / duo players

I’ve been playing for years and I almost never see this on official servers.
