#Will the new gen edition contain more

Gr8 question
it might
Yes thats the whole intention behind the updated version, it allows more creative freedom and doesn't leave them with a hardware limitation at every hurdle. It will eventually obviously, but for now it'll allow the game to thrive and updates that would never have been possible can now be looked into due to having the extra resources at their disposal. Even the Series S, the weakest console in the line up is leagues above the original Xbox/One/S/PS4. It should be a great next few years for Crust!
I think they're asking if it's gonna launch with more content, or if it's just gonna be the sane game as a baseline, then new content later.
Hopefully they launch with at least one more monument and helis. If they do that, I think they will have a massive launch. But if they launch with feature parity but nothing net-new, they'll be shooting themselves in the foot.
I can't see it launching with content if I'm perfectly honest, it diverts budget and development time. I'd sooner have just the graphics on release and them iron out any quirks ahead of new content, it should mean our first content installment can be huge!
Depends how much is done in testing in that respect, graphics etc is one team, where as futures could start building and testing content
I'm not hopeful man. Graphics and framerate will take a toll initially, optimization will take a bit of time and resources. One thing at a time, we avoid ending up in the current state.
optimisation is the biggest thing, the Series S will need it
Precisely my point, their stance has gone from "Don't expect a next-gen version anytime soon" to "We're working on a next gen version" in a matter of months, it's ambitious - perhaps even a little too ambitious aiming for a 2025 release. Optimization is time consuming, the community has grown bored of the current state this is their chance for a fresh start. I'm stoked for it, just hope they don't rush it and it becomes a passion project once again.
Could have been something they have been preparing in the background for a while though, D11 themselves did not comment as much about a current gen version, twas more mods
Yet they relayed a screenshot from a developer, it all comes down to communication with the playerbase. So the mods were misinformed and spreading misinformation? Like any good game studio, player retention and interaction stems from good communication and a consistent content stream.
Or they were being sneaky and keeping it a secret so it was a nice surprise announcement
I guess we'll never know, merely hold our own opinions based on what was evident and what wasn't huh...
i like the sneaky sneaky idea so i can use the gif
Haha I feel it! Just hoping they make a proper go of it man! New graphics, fresh performance. Hopefully we can see improved server stability, map size, player caps etc... Be cool to see the first buidling skin pack on launch be a cool way to release with a bang. It should realistically open the door to mini's etc I'm stoked.
see i think building skins would be the coolest thing ever to come with an upgrade fee, imagine getting exlusive building skins for that
