Hey, just being open with this — I really think it’s time you guys looked into a partnership with a better server provider, like Nitrado or someone who actually knows what they’re doing. GPORTAL might’ve improved a bit, but let’s be real — it’s still not good enough.

Their support is super unprofessional, they never take responsibility, and they keep blaming D11 for everything like it’s not their fault. It’s just frustrating at this point.
I’ve had my server up since release, and out of 15 months, maybe 3 of them were actually playable. it’s insane. I’ve spent so much time and money trying to keep it alive, and most of the time it feels like it’s not even worth it because of how bad the hosting is.
It’s honestly time for a change.

A good option would be open hosting, like on Steam Rust. Let people host their own servers, set it up how they want, No more being stuck with one provider like Gportal and having a monopoly unfold. It gives more freedom of speech
It’s what makes PC Rust so good — we should have the same opportunity.

So many people banned from Gportal for opening up about about their service, horrible management, support, and hardware.
And I can say this on behalf of nearly all community server owners.

One of the biggest issues with g portal is the fact that their customer service is horrible. I don't know how many times I've had issues with the service that I've paid for. And they turnaround and their recommendation is for me to completely delete the server. And create a new one.the fact that their service are so unstable that it's literally causing the lag issues that everyone experiences. The hardware is extremely inadequate for the demands of this game. We seriously need a new provider that understands the needs of this game.

Yeah that's excuse they keep telling me to. Now I don't use my server for players. I mainly use my server for map generation and experimentation with the biodomes. To come out with the best map possible for the needs of the server owner that I work with. And everyone in this ticket can say I probably have some of the best maps around. So explain to me how I just use my server for map generation. And map experimentation with the biodomes. And I have issues to where I have to delete and recreate a server. Please make it make sense. They don't care about their customer base. This is nothing more than a money grab. And anyone who calls them out. Get severely punished.

The simple fact is when they go next gen they're going to have to have more powerful server hardware. Especially with the aspirations that I've been hearing in the rumor mill. But at the end of the day G portal is giving sub par service. And every three to four months I keep going up on their rates. Originally it was $20 a month. It is now $25.35 American. I don't know what the cost is in European. And the server is constantly going down.
