My 2025 Wishlist

Just my 2025 Wishlist. Could add some things. Add some suggestions aswell.

First Server Stability. Big for 2025. If anything big were to be dropped we would need this first. Me who usually plays on US East officials and Community servers. I average 10-15 ping. Before wasn’t experience alot of lag but lately as soon as i load in (on fresh wipe aswell) i experience frame loss and i sometimes get kicked.
If we want bigger updates Server Stability should be the main focus of 2025.

Couches,Barrels,Signs,etc.

Just something small that could be paired with something maybe bigger or equal size? Not to sure. But just some small customization options for people to decorate their bases with. Could be paired with the release of consoles very own building skins.
This also could be added as the end of year QOL Update.

If we get some server stability fixes early on.
Opens the doors for the next few

Caves.

Community has been waiting for caves for awhile now. Something that changes up how people play wipe and will make the game interesting.

Modular Cars and Trains.

Modular cars is something the community wants along with Minis.
Id assume bikes would probaly be added with Cars. This is something probaly for the end of the year. We would ideally get all the new items that come with Cars. Revamp to train yard coal tower. Train Tunnels and Stations and also Junkyard. A monument thats been in the files for awhile now.

Giant Excavator.

Something i dont know how well itd work with the current laggy state of the game as its a moving monument.

But this would make the game more interesting. Another big spot for pvp as multiple teams and solos would fight and contest others for the control of this monument.

Escav would be epic I can't lie, I just don't see it happening with the current state of the game and the current map size. It's HUGE! Be awesome to finally see it come to console though

Interactable couches are already in rust console how is making them a deployable infringe on copyright

It would potentially come after a server stability rehaul/fix considering other things i mentioned they can easily add bigger maps as time goes on. While also focusing on server stability like i mentioned

Because they are the same game, there is no new and idk gen

So it’s impossible to only release for new gen and not old, plus technically rust console is an old gen game you can play on new gen as it was originally released for Xbox one and ps4

yeah but look at GTA 5 they got a new gen version with separate servers etc. Just quit updating old gen and make a new gen version

ark survival evolved came out on ps4/xbox but it doesnt get updated anymroe

Well no, it started out as an old gen game, made for old gen, and over the years they added more and more to keep up with the demands of the community making it new gen on old gen

Ok so Ark, the game was discontinued, and official servers are shut down and have been for 1 year. The next-gen is a completely new game version that is still in development to this day. so not a comparison.

They can’t release a new version because it splits the dev team, splits funding and resources, so releasing a new gen version would probably leave new gen worse off as it would take longer to develop new features, longer to work on bugs and issues within the game and overall make it worse off

They will finish the current version of the game before working on a new one, as with every other game that was released for the next generation, they started after an established finished game.
