Change Names

Would love to be able to give myself a different in-game name, at the beginning of each wipe or server.
I’m tired of just being my PS5 account name. (I know I can change it once, but I dont want to do that.)

Why? I’ve played very similar games where you can create your own name, that is still tied to your account name

only game i can think of that let u choose a custom display name that's also multiplayer is like elden ring 😭. but with that ur able to choose to display players with either their character name or console/steam name

I never said you could “never” see gamertag. But in-game, you can create your own name

they won't be adding some dumb "nickname" thing so 3 people can be happy. it's useless bloat. as i said at 1st, console manufacturers won't let them have an actual display name feature so it's actually useful

and even then you can still view people's profiles from said names

Cod allows it xdefiant too. But obviously its still linked to your console profile

You play those games by logging into an Activision or ubisoft etc account. When you change your name you're canoeing your accounts name not getting a special nickname

That account name changes for every game that uses that Activision etc account
