There’s just a lot of community servers out there right now to compete with. Be patient! Ppl do join but it is an “up and down” experience as a server owner.

Like you can lay videos up on YouTube or other platforms like an ad and promote your server

Soo many other community servers to compete with. I’ve had my server from day 1 of release from Gportal. First 3 months it was dead. Had me and friends playing. Slowly people started joining. I think when i added colour to the description of the server name. Since then it’s always good with pop. Just don’t admin abuse or give items to your “friends” or give in to people begging for items as others will find out and then boycott your server. Do special events. Modded outpost items but not too modded like m2s for 2 scrap. It will grow and you will always see new people joining and have players that have been playing on your server for months always coming back. You just have to have that right balance. Don’t make it too hard or too easy to get to full HQ full special loot etc

You don’t need friends that you have already. I’ve actually made new friends from playing rust. It’s quite easy. Just don’t give in to them asking for rare items and the best equipment haha. What’s your server name ? Il check it out and bring some people over to have a play.

I will definitely pop in and check it out too! Always a good time to make new friends and actually enjoy the game! Another option, since you said about not having followers that play Rust.. Promoting here is fantastic, as an idea; mention if they found your server here possibly give them something for joining.. nothing too op like Holden said, like some materials or whatever you think is reasonable 😎
