The reason why it cannot be like PC is very simple.... consoles are not PC they do not have the same power and secondly, PC rust has been in development for 10 years not 3 like console rust.
The old gen has nothing to do with it, the game was developed specifically for the old gen and started before the new gen consoles were even announced.
I am sure in a few years a new gen version will be available once this version is completed. until then if you want PC equivalent then play the PC version
