Ok so best tips i can give for building. Look up the raid cost of each door and every wall. Like sheet metal door is 4 satchels and a stone wall is 10 satchels. With that information you want to make a base that is as expensive through walls as it is doors to your tc.

Most people will go with a 2x2 in squares and an up and over designnwhich is can show you later plus a few other things.

For guns you have a few ways you can do things. Quests like fishing village dive mission, using scrap through a workbench to research then you gotta make the gun, killing people and doing whats called snowballing which is where you use the gun u got from killing other people to kill more people and get more guns, or you can loot airdrops and locked crates.
