Splitting old and new generation consoles

Currently, the game is in a somewhat deteriorating state for new gen players, because all of the updates have to conform to old gen standard. I know about the contract that says you can’t do it for a while, but please, when you can just split them. This would be a great result for both consoles, because we would all have a game intended for the console we play on, and not a mix of both
