Then hit stop. It will take a few minutes to go and show offline
Then go into advanced settings, and do a full wipe. Wait about 20 or so minutes for it to reach Done! It takes forever.
Sometimes after reboot you can also verify game files to try and help. Repeated turning on and off , saving and booting , restarting. It ruins everything.

No. That's not enough. Go to the menu where you see press a to stop y to configure x for advanced setting
Where it shows the little square pic of your server
It will say on the bottom right after pressing a server stopped successfully but it will take a bit to actually stop
Wait till it allows you to configure by pressing y. That's when you know it's off off
Once off off, do the full wipe via the status menu ...wait the 20-25 mins until done. Do not leave gportal or open any other apps while doing this

It should keep going . I don't know about the console connect either. I'm guessing it's because you leave the app to open rust to check rust. I don't know if this leaving between apps disconnects the console during the boot process.

The chances of you getting it to work are 1 out of 100 the game is bugged in general as in Gportal. So you can either wait till it’s fixed or keep trying and maybe getting it.

so i follow what the mods told us which is full wipe wait till server is online then i press offline then i verify files once it’s online i close off the site and i wait 45 min to - 2 hours and i am able to join my server then i open g portal back up and it works i’ve been doing this over and over again and it always works 💪👍

D11 has done everything opposite of what they say since the beginning of rust console they said custom servers would be a thing on release day 2 years ago they also said only people who pre-ordered the special edition of the game would have access to PTB then let everyone get ahold of it with a 7$ skin pack eliminating all of the incentives for pre-order holders but they don't gaf

God more than half of you were better off joining other peoples servers ..

small update from support on the message:
Rate limit exceeded
This is not an error message!
The console deletes some lines if they are repetitions or "spam" or the line is too long. The log still shows everything in full.
So it has nothing to do with Rust or is an error message. It is just a spam protection.

I left off all night while asleep. Woke up only clicked the online switch waited 10ish minutes and i could join it.... granted i had no monuments had to turn off and redo my settings, waited 10ish minutes again after hitting online waiting for that 70%cpu usuage and then it goes to 4% and you can. Join server

Yea i had to switch some thjngs around this will be 3rd reload but seems a but wonky now 1.5% rn i think it should be in the 50s🤷🏽 its almost done so just waiting to see wth going on
You can definetly just click fullwipe wait till page reloads, click verify files wait till page reloads . Wait 10 seconds then turn server on... then restart it. Worked for me🤷🏽 idk servers seem pretty stable rn

I dint think having to much is an issue i was on a server last night 3x had all monuments even had a horse every 20ft like 10 of em around dome and dude even had a rhib every 30 ft on coast there was 9 of em alone in a 2 grid run by there fishing village they even had the raidable bases

Ok for anyone still getting issues connecting to there own server go into your command pannel on gportal and check how many monuments are set on the map default tries to throw everything in i found a good magic number is about 18 onshore monuments and i have 3 offshore i took out transport cargo cuz its not that great and my servers been up for 2 days now.... Hope this helps

Like this helps a lot i promise most the issue with the connection attempt failed is that reason having every monument in the game over stresses the server for one and is impossible to do with the monument radius im assuming works like build privs but opposite cant stack or overlap but that parts assumption first part just facts
