Lowgrade is probably the hardest material to farm up as oil pumps haven’t gotten there update yet crude barrels don’t really spawn much even in places like under dome and the loot pool on higher Xs is still 1x(anything outside of farming and pick ups are 1x)

I’m not new I’ve got 4k hours it’s that brad crates shouldn’t be the only way to get a lot of low grade and you still have to waste 700 gp and it’s not even guaranteed profit

The oil jacks are an infinite supply of lowgrade as they give crude which can be smelted into more low grade then it cost to run. Farming the ocean is always an option. Farming animals. Buy a bit from outpost. Farm roads. Plenty ways

if you farm the ocean you can get up to 4,800 crude per hour that's 266-300 crude barrels per hour

Honestly id still pay that. I usually have at least 500 scrap in my base and if i need lowgrade its usually for things i value more than scrap especially once I have the bps i want

Bears are my go to easy lowgrade on a freshwipe can get furnaces down almost instantly with a crossbow and hatchet

It's certainly cheaper but personally when i am buying lowgrade i need it there and then so I prefer the quickest option. Scrap has no value once you got your bps which can be all be done in like 4 or 5 hours

Especially on mid pop servers like 40 at peak it's super easy as a solo to be getting scrap. Just farm barrels off the start of wipe and hit dome and other monuments for a broken gun and get it bp and find another to repair and you'd be able to take cargo pretty soon
