Solar panel direction

Does anyone know if solar panel functionality on console are current with pc ? Or is it the old pc version (point towards center of map not sun)
Theres many videos saying different thinfs on youtube i want to know whats actually correct. I been using windmills to avoid the uncertainty

for the solar panels best to have it facing the sun but the sun changes positions based on the time of day so it's best to place during the brightest time of day so you get the most benefits on power

i had 5 solar panels
2 facing sunrise , 2 facing sunset and 1 facing north and still got outages on a circuit that only draws 20 power so i was thinking it doesnt work based on sun position

I never really had a problem but like I said the sun changes position based on the day, even the slightest position change and help or ruin your power supply

also you could be having outages by hooking to much up to a single battery as well
