"modular vehicle" is a vehicle that allows players to construct and customize vehicles using various parts and components. These vehicles can be assembled in different configurations, adding to the gameplay and exploration aspects of the game. Players can modify and adapt these vehicles to suit their needs within the Rust environment.

“Why should this be in Rust Console Edition? ”

After horses were introduced to Rust Console Edition, the terrain rendering has been significantly optimized, rendering quickly. Recently, I came across a TikTok video where someone modified a horse with four horseshoes, and they encountered no issues with frames or rendering. This suggests that the possibility of vehicles in Rust Console Edition could become a reality!

Rust Modular Vehicles can go up to 70 km/h, but our horses managed to run 90 km/h without rendering issues. So, it's technically possible to add modular vehicles to Rust Console Edition.

130 is the fastest it could possibly go with a large chassis, and 3 engines.

imo things like this should be a hell of a long way away, to much content and not enough fixes / improvements. adding horses while there was still issues didn't help at all. haven't played much since then seems the game gets worse every time i log on 😭

Old reply, and this isn't related to the current topic of this post, but hopefully in the next Quality of Life (QOL) update, all textures will have the same quality. And hopefully there’ll be improvements in the ocean textures, as they currently appear dull. Furthermore, I hope to receive better bloom for enhanced illumination on assets that emit light. I can’t wait for the QOL update!

Yes, I’m aware. I’ve made a suggestion earlier that could help with performance for old generation consoles but I’m not sure if baked lighting could work.

No, we've talked about it previously. To make a new gen version they would need to make 2 more editions of the game and absolutely nobody wants to maintain 5 different versions of the game not to mention the admin/playtest servers

Adding new updates to rust while old gen is lagging constantly, adding more will at some point not work anymore, they have to optimize it till it doesn’t lag and at some point it will which would take longer or they would just cancel the update and try something else

Getting rid of old gen won't speed up updates. Getting rid of old gen also doesn't mean they need less optimisation. If you optimised the game less it would run worse on new gen.

By 'better graphics,' I specifically mean bloom, higher texture resolution, and improved ocean physics. The suggestion would only lower the frame rate to at least 60 fps. Bloom doesn’t significantly impact the graphics, just as texture resolution doesn't. It's primarily about memory, and the old generation has much less memory than the new generation

People need to keep their consoles clean and old gen and new gen could be pushed to diffrent limits the more dirt and buildup and abuse your console receives the less it powers out what you need I guarantee if everyone wasent lazy dirty people your consoles could probably run Rust GTA CyberPunk all at the same time

Everything you just listed 70% of the player base is going to instantly disable for higher fps. I don't know a single person that would like bloom in a game that involves pvp

I’ve always cleaned my consoles controller’s inside out every month since I had a ps2 and I’ve never had to buy a new console never had my game crash never had my game bug out never had to do anytthing just buy the new console when it comes out

I honestly couldn't care less about the vehicles I like minis and subs but I rarely used the cars not a fan of using them or a fan of them ever adding attack minis or tugboats to the game on pc
