Please when creating the custom servers have these settings enabled!

  1. Allow admins to spectate suspected cheaters 1st person camera.
  2. Allow bright nights
  3. Allow faster shop sales
  4. Edit barrel loot drops like how much and what kind of items
  5. Allow owners to give items to players on spawn
  6. Edit the amount of people allowed to Auth on tc for solo duo trio servers.
  7. Edit upkeep %
  8. Edit server rates for boosted pvp servers like 100x servers on pc.

There’s so many more but I think these are crucial for success of custom servers and we all know how important custom servers are to keeping a game alive I really do want to see rust console succeed and giving server owners more freedom will only help this

Old gen can only handle so much even with custom servers

Yes hence why these are just options for a server to add. It gives the owners more freedom to create unique servers. If you’re old gen don’t play higher rate servers not out problem you don’t have a new gen 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm on ps4 and my console can easily rust so I don't think old gen would have a hard time running custom servers

Oh I love ark 1000x servers and me and my friend used to play on those all the time and me and him never had problems with the servers or lag

Yep 100% I think giving rust server owners more options will only be a good thing, and hey if something makes the servers too laggy they just don’t use it until it’s been fixed it’s not a big deal!

Huh? How? What seems so difficult about those options? I can understand no.1 being difficult but editing barrels bright nights span items and tc shouldn’t be difficult at all to add. The tc is pretty crucial for player limits too which is a massive part of the custom servers player base so it would be in their best interest to figure it out 👀 not arguing here btw just wonder why you think they won’t happen like what is the reason you think they are limited on these options

Bro I run an ark server I know how it works I edit the ini files all the time it’s very doable in my opinion but hey these are just suggestions for D11 if they feel like it’s beyond there capabilities then fair enough I just want the custom servers to be as good as they can be

The engine has nothing to do with server settings I get that certain settings might make the game run badly because of the engine but there are definitely ways around it

Day z console is the same age as pc rust lol. Console rust is just a baby. 3 years old at max

  1. Would requite a lot of custom work from D11 for this one. Unlikely to be a thing for a while even if D11 plan to work on, best bet will more likely be invis modes for admins and they can just watch as close as they can.

  2. Adjustable Nighttimes could be possible but again would require custom coding to give an owner the ability to set a percentage/level.

  3. Again possible but custom coding to set timers effectively, each vend is different so would more likely be a universal time to set somehow.

  4. Potentially something D11 have already considered, but again a large scope of custom background menus to set for the drops of the individual things such as barrels, crates etc.

  5. I would hope be possible from Launch, already tested on Build/Aim Servers, Admin's ability to spawn should be the same also.

  6. Potentially again something D11 have looked at as a way for those types of servers, but most likely they will just have the team limits lowered/disabled and leave it to server admins.

  7. Could be more difficult, not impossible but depends on which way you envision that being a thing.

  8. Boosted Rates will be limited at the start, unlikely we will see 100x for a long while, most likely 2x, maybe even 3x or 4x but they will either lessen the roll out to test server stability or potentially add with an "at your own risk" disclaimer.

It’s just more stuff that D11 will need to code themselves then anything, unlikely we will have the flexibility to code much ourselves due to Console Restrictions in that sense.

Oh ye I get that but to say it’s impossible for D11 to code into the game just seems a bit silly to me I mean it’s literally their jobs they know what they are doing! Was just very frustrating being told no it’s impossible to have in game
