Honestly just try and find a loyal friend or even play solo but take it slow best way to get a base down is farm components on the road and go in outpost and recycle and buy metal frags you can also farm stone for wood and just build a quick base don't forget to get cloth so save some more scrap for tactical gloves

I recommend farming the ocean to get comps to scrap buy metal frags at outpost and within a hour of farming you can have a full sheet metal&armored base on a medium to large size base
