Why would you not be able to just apply text, where it can be filtered through a language block algorithm. As well as change font and color. Id be happy with that!

Community servers still need to follow the games CoC and ToS.
They lost the ability to name vending machines too.
So wouldn't make sense to allow editable signs on community but not official.
My opinion is we will probably never get anything that can be edited like signs, paintings or the return of vendy naming.
