noob asking for base advice

So after the wipe the base idea, I need some input, the current base of got was built off my starter 2x2 and ended becoming a pancake 3 story base 3 layers + honeycomb, for my 4th base idea im thinking a reverse bunker base, the entrance being on the 2nd floor but instead of tc being on ground floor like most bases putting it and the main loot on a higher floor to try and get raiders to waste boom on a decoy core

Maybe making a false entrance into the base from the ground floor to entice people to go there instead of going high using only sheet metal for doors

I've done this before it works occasionally but at the same time doing this makes you prone to eco raids also this generally doesn't work with 2x2 builds

@stray quarry the OG 2x2 would end up getting turned into a decoy core and the base would be extended outward after a bit of time, also how would it be eco raidable?

if loot was upstairs all they'd need to do is go through 2-3 doors and go up with jackhammers

they'd just need to bring ladders

Do TC second floor do a single armor door then do your tier 3 in front of it it’s almost impossible to see it. I said In the other chat most people don’t do main loot bottom floor unless it’s a solo I raid through the middle of bases looking for open core. And like I said you’re doing all this extra honey comb etc I’d beware of upkeep on your main tc and not forget to add outer TCs

if your able to give me a picture example of what your wanting the build like to be it'll be easier to spot out any weak points you can cover

I got a better way to hide tc though although it takes practice to get perfect placement

@stray quarry my bases are sort of made up as I go, I tried building it in the test servers but kept crashing

have a triangle with with any single door make sure the door opens out when you access the loot from the vending machine key lock it and the tc then you can go to the edge of the vending machine to open the door and access tc without tc being visable

You have a better chance of watching a video lol you being 6 days into the game he is right I’d echo raid it too

which would mean raiders if they figured out where tc was would have to destroy the vending machine then a door sheet metal or armored single to get to tc

I do this occasionally but it can be tedious if your in a small build

well I'm solo and almost none of the builds I use are small most people think I'm a large group when seeing the bases I manage every wipe on pc and console only 3 hours a day while still doing raids

Yea ive got alot to learn, frankly my current base im immensely proud of, held up till the end of wipe, I may just rebuild it again since it did so well and wasn't even that hard to upkeep being 4k stone, metal and 3k wood and 200 HQM, the wood being honeycomb to make my base look dirt poor to clans, which was originally a 2x2 which I extended outward into a 4x4 2 layers of HQM around the core and a layer of HQM pancake with 6 interior turrets and 9 shotgun traps hiding around key corners with 2 separate loot rooms to get through core was 2 double armored doors and 2 armored doors. 3 floors and then roof

not bad upkeep my upkeep for the wipe was 22.5k metal 248 hqm and 240 wood with 8 full armored bunkers
