i am still fairly new to the game. last wipe i killed a full metal guy with a db and when i took his stuff i got killed by his teammate. this has happened multiple times with other players i killed. so what should i do after i kill somone. should i loot them and run or look around and wait?

Just take the weapon and then either run with it or try killing his teammates then looting and leaving, because if you take the gun and leave you have a better gun to use later but if you can kill his teammates then you will get more loot (if you can kill them all)
