I feel like when ever community servers comes out D11 would make alot of money off of it. I feel like with this money they would hire more employees. If they still have a decent amount of money they should buy a better Game engine so servers can withstand higher pots, bigger maps, better graphics/ graphics settings. I feel like with a better game engine old gen will be able to withstand more updates and are old gen player base can stick along even longer.

need to understand that old gen is 10 years old, it's past it's due date. Changing engines most likely wouldn't fix anything. If anything it would probably cause more issues
It would fix it cause the engine can have better optimizations.
not accurate as the game was built for old gen before new gen was even a idea it just released shortly after new gen came out also main branch new gen and old gen both have np while new gen has problems on ptb while old gen does not
Ngl this makes no sense
well I'm sorry I can't simplify it any further than I already did
Cause with the new engine they can optimize it for both consoles like a new engine will just make the game alot better
sure sure even though I got old gen and new gen and both work perfectly on main and new gen has trouble on ptb while old gen does not
Ik im talking about in the future so when old gen cant handle the updates the new engine would allow them to so they can keep old gen for as long as possible
I understand what your saying but I do believe pc rust content now to all past content is possible on old gen consoles and new gen consoles
I dont think so i feel like old gen will start to be laggy when we get bigger maps and bigger pots. Also when a old gen player is on a horse i FEEL like the frames would drop when they are on it cause of the speed of the horse and if they go past forest areas or big bases.
Juts a new engine will make updates come out faster and we could have more content per year.
like what RL is doing, switching to unreal engine 5 because it'll make it easier for them to update the game easier and among other things, but i feel like a switch in engine for rust wouldn't really benefit anyone or anything.
