I loved this game, it was addicting and fun, but there’s a huge problem. You need to cater to casual players. At least a server or two. My friends and I don’t even want to play this anymore because we don’t see the point. We play and play and play just to go to bed and sign on the next night to see we got wiped. If I had a dollar for every time I signed onto this game, saw I was raided and then immediately switched to another game, maybe I’d be able to afford to just play this game all day and not work lol. Seems like that’s the only way to do it.

This game seems like it could be fun to hop on and mess around with your buddies, but the try hards make it really unappealing at times. My friends and I aren’t good at this game lol not at all, but we have fun messing around as casuals when we’re not being shot down by a giant clan, raided every day or being harassed by people who think they’re actually stranded on this island irl.

I understand the try hards will spend every penny they have on your company and I get the business model, but please throw us casual players a bone.

Also, thanks for migrating my server to PTB after I finally got some blueprints, that felt great 🤪 Low pop server cause that’s the only way casuals can play this game and somewhat enjoy it for more than 30 minutes

Not much the devs can do about it only way to fix this is custom servers

I know I just described Rust, that’s the issue lol posting this in a suggestion tab to suggest changing an aspect of Rust to better suit casuals. People who live and breathe this game can still do their thing on normal servers.

The ability and willingness to want to continue and play this game becomes tedious when you start at point A, spend the night getting to point B and then wake up back at point A and the cycle continues. It seems like a lot of people have the same complaints in this discord and telling them “it’s just Rust” doesn’t seem to be doing much for them.

Even the guy commenting on this just said he feels the need to play 12-18 hours a day to keep up. That’s insane and the devs should feel some type of way about having a game that has people sitting in front of a screen for 12-18 hours a day just to be able to keep up. That’s not okay or healthy.
