#Armor %?

Ok so the protection is says on your character on the left is a TOTAL of all your currently equipped armor a lot of people just thinks that’s your total armor each part of your body (hands legs chest and head etc) each piece of clothing/armor reduces the damage you take from the gun by a percentage for instance an assault rifle does 50 damage without damage drop off which is also calculated you have to look that up as I don’t know the damage drop off range for each gun anyway if a assault rifle user hits you the reduction in damage comes from the armor and clothing so your hoodie AND your piece of armor is subtracting a % of the damage that ak did to you with a metal chest piece and a hoodie the damage reduction is about 6% 50 of 6% is around like 44 so same way with any other piece of your armor
Hopefully that wasn’t too nerdy
Does armor/clothing matter to where it as to where u get hit.... ie u only have lower clothing and armor and get hit somewhere where don't have? Does the protection u have cover whole body
No that’s only the case with full body suits hazmat and the new Halloween costumes
No , it's not like pc. Any armour piece protects your WHOLE body, gloves can protect head and pants can protect torso.
No it doesn’t bro please look it up before you make false claims this is facts look it up on the wiki
You are wrong. It is the same as pc
How do u know ?
How do u know?
Bc it says on the wiki facepunch also stated that as well and by just simply testing it
You’re correct, but your argument is not good. Rust console isn’t owned by Facepunch
The armor percentages are wrong. Don’t listen to them. For example, a full metal face mask reduces all damage to your head by 50%. Idk why they changed the percentage, but it is still the same as pc
If it is the way your saying then the game is poorly made as it dosent show separate pieces on the projectile protection and also the % of armour it gives is wrong.
Ik it’s owned by D11 but what I am saying is it’s the same on both platforms so
It’s prob like that so people know exactly what’s the cumulative total of there armor
No lol a face mask reduces it by like 10% it’s how you don’t get one shot by a bolty/L9
The other guy said a metal face mask does 50% whereas in the game it's under 10% , everyone has a diffrent view and I blame it all on d11 for not making it so you can see protection separately
Well what I can do you is do some simple math does it take 4 headshots with a ak to kill a full metal? No
But yea they should clarify it
The projectile protection used to show up correctly on console. About a year ago, it said the actual projectile protection. For example, the metal face mask is 50%, hoodie is 20%. They updated it about six months ago, and it changed the values. It still does the same protection, the numbers are just weird for some reason.
It does block 50% damage. An l96 does 80 damage. With a headshot, is does 160 damage. Since the metal face mask blocks 50% of damage, 50% of 160 is 80. You take 80 damage when you get headshot by an l96 while wearing a metal face mask
It is the same as pc
Just look up the values on pc. They match the values on console. The numbers on console are just messed up
The headshot multiplier is 2x? I didn’t even know that thought it was like 1.5
