Im sure D11 would love to do that but the way servers handle with just 100 players alone would make this difficult...

D11 plans to release larger player counts overtime so we'll just have to wait and see how their testing goes...

from what we know they plan on starting at 4.5km maps with 125 players and should slowly increase over time if the servers can handle it.
