#T-70 wrong gunsight reticle
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
In the Forgotten Hope 2 mod they used something like this for the primary telescope sight but who knows how correct it is
Though from what I know they get their stuff correct in basically all cases
But I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually for sure correct since that was the general idea with the ww2 Russian sight reticles
Here's for example the KV-85 (and IS-1) sight:
https://i.imgur.com/D22WOoU.png
Or KV-122 and IS-2 (early) sight
Early T-34 or KV-1 sight
So honestly you could just make it like that one above and call it a day if you don't want to make something like the one from Forgotten Hope 2, unless you want to use the periscope's sight
I can do it too
I found this reticle meant for T-70 I guess but never used
Not sure what it is tho
@nocturne seal
Looks similar to the PT-1 sight

so it must be some PT
This one is from BT-7, T-50, T-26 etc.
@sterile elbow help
russian always had lines for the MG, so it's either MG(left)/HE(right) or MG/AP, otherwise it won't make sense
I wouldn't go that far
remember that this one is the very early sight for the 76mm gun
I don't think it's even possible to find the real image of the one used by the T-70 unless you go to some museum and be lucky enough for it to have that sight installed since many tanks and military vehicles have optics removed
I can make for each of ammo used different ammo range config for reticle for each zoom level for each distance
maybe 1000 m max?
I would go for 2km
for the gun
and 1.5km for the MG
so 0, 4, 6 ,8 10, 12, 15
Hmm, in Enlisted they went for this which is also a reasonable choice
since its periscope sight probably looked like that
Rotary might be cool for captured T-70
I mean the Russian one had it by "default", rotary sights wasn't only used by germany
so you could go for what I posted there #1375662320017080392 message
@pure gulch
from
pamiętam że jeśli chodzi o pionowe linie to była tam jakaś zasada rysowania tego
to samo, to jest tylko dla jednego pocisku i mieli tam tabelkę jak konwertować na inne
daj mi chwilę to poszukam
przetłumaczyć by trzeba
hmmm 😄
rozumiem pozioma kreska sie przeóa góra dół
money 😄
git
zasieg w metrach, AP i HE
ok
czekaj, spytam się kogoś kto zna rosyjski
ale mogę dopiero jutro otrzymać odpowiedź
spoko
jak to rozumieć
tu i tu 400 metrów
ale oś jest inna
albo no po lewej AP
po prawej HE
co miałoby sens
tak wygląda
ja to po prostu tak zrobiłem
dopasowane do AP pionowo
No nic, trzeba czekać do jutra
spytałem się czy przetłumaczy też ten drugi
ale pewno już śpi
z tym to będzie już ok zrobić
widać 4, 6, 8, 10
ale to wtedy do 1000 m będzie w sumie
tzn no można tam dorysować do 2 km do 20
jak tu
@pure gulch No dobra, jednak nie spał
To od tej tabelki
i do tego #1375662320017080392 message
Czyli to jest głównie pod karabin maszynowy
ogólnie to jest taki odpowiednik tego https://i.imgur.com/GAkQZhF.png
tylko że bardziej upośledzone
to wyżej do Shermana
przynajmniej będzie można ogarnąć balistykę poprawnie
lol, tam też dali jak w Enlisted
@nocturne seal mam co nieco, jestem w stanie już z AP trafić w cel na 1500 m z dowolnego FOV bez aim prediction 😉
There are different PT1 sights depending on the gun
This is 45mm
@sterile elbow PT-1 could be used in T-70?
I'm doing this TOP periscope at the moment for T-70
Will check in 2 hours
TMFP, some tanks used TOP
periscope is commander's
here's TOP
here's TMFP
but that's a version for the 20mm gun
I'm not sure if the horizontal line should move at all, the image mentions only the vertical one
what?
No one would move the vertical line if there was an option to do that
nice
AP, HE, APCR have ammo range configured for each FOV zoom
AP and APCR, 0, 500, 1100, 1500 m
HE 0, 150, 200, 300, 400 m
this is actually something new
different reticles per ammo type and fov
wait, it changes itself when you switch the ammo?
yes
our game can't adjust gun, reticle is adjusting according to distance
It's not exactly realistic then
This stuff is built in the actual telescope, you can't switch the reticle "on the fly", that's not a modern Fire Control System
I agree with this
There are some technical difficulties to overcome in doing so, as much as Im aware, there are none of tank games that actually create physical accurate telescopes or periscopes
what stops you from becoming the first? ._.
it's a thing I'm missing across all tank games
actually realistic sights
since it is your view 50% of the time, it should be real
a lot of your playstyle depends on it
wait RideR2 didn't forgotten hope do that? or some of those old PlayStation 2 games
I think you are misunderstanding it
To make it realistic you just make a single sight reticle which can be even static and then let the player figure it out (in case of the T-70 sight, with the Shermans it will be the same, or mostly American tanks)
In arcade mode they get a "+" for aiming anyway
And simulator mode is a simulator, so...
alright, thats manageable
also, what about historical zoom/fov?
It would make the game too hard
Unless they want to implement it as a special setting for simulator mode
it would propably, since most of the optics had static FOV/zoom
thats why we have x25, x15, x10 and x5 zoom by changing FOV
due to that we have reticles for each FOV setting
so I managed to do a mix of approaches
understandable, but it would be the same for everyone (if you limit AI's fov to the real value)
most sights are at 2.5x zoom
irl, tank spotting was done with binoculars, definitely not through the sights (unless you have a position to look at)
or commander's periscope if it can rotate
if it isn't too much trouble, perhaps you can limit it to simulator mode and do some play tests, I'm sure me and RideR2 would be glad to help
This how it looks right now
forT-70
If you turn off aiming prediction you can aim and hit target at 1500 m using this reticle
from AP and APCR
Yeah, it should be static and look like that
So no horizontal stretching
I'm affraid its not possible right now, it would require to change some stuff in the game, right? @dim aspen
or well, like this
Either way this shouldn't have high priority until the Soviet Campaign is released
I don't think anyone is crazy enough to use a captured T-70
well, I have a friend who like to rush with it on steppes
💁♂️ @waxen glen
I'll need more info about this later, we can easily close this or change this to suggestions
I would close it as it related to T-70 here. Regarding more realstic approach to optics/reticles/simulation I would create a suggestion and put this into a next roadmap plan or something
