crop eater doents eat anything that has a mutation on it.
before u use your worm (I assume is rainbow/gold) wait for your pod to get wet/chilled/amberlit/dawnlit/thunderstruck and then use your worm
if u have Rain granter turkey. snow granter snowfox/stoat, frost granter Caribou, dawnlit granter Horse or Amberlit granter Fire horse u can use these to grant a mutation while the pod is still growing
this will prevent the worm to eat it when its fully grown (since it has already a mutation on it)
