Just here to bump that I don't think the inventory should auto select crops to the left!
the music during thunderstorms is horrendous
I'm a little annoyed at the inability to see how many plants are growing on the renewable plants and also when I'm cycling through my renewable plants to tell when I've done a loop
The pet hutch, feeding trough, silo and decor shed close themselves often while i use them, idk if i'm doing something wrong or if its not normal x)
i think having the exp bar the total amount instead of only between the levels like how its indicated (with the current and next levels on each side of the bar) is a bit confusing and also not helpful

Agree. I keep having to tap the XP to see how close it is to the next level, whereas before it was much easier to see

suggestion:
it makes sense for the full maturity bar to be shown for something like a violet cort or any other one and done plant
for sunflowers newly harvested and potted maturity shows a full bar because the plant is fully grown yet hovering over different sunflowers will show different times.
the suggestion is for there to be another bar for these types of plants like 'fruiting' or something indicating that the crop can be harvested

@lime nova @coral furnace what exactly do you miss about the old design and what is particularly upsetting you about the new one? Being more specific helps the devs understand and can effect change.
I saw some ppl who are new on magic garden and i wanted to donate like 100k to help them buy there new 1st pet. is there an available / command so i can donate $ and not bread?

i think its particularly small because of the mod you're using that shows the coin price. but in general - yes, we're going to be redesigning those (and porting them to the new engine) soon
in other news -
we're now using the "compact-style" pet sidebar everywhere, thanks to feedback in this thread!
and it's a bit nicer now, it "sticks out" of the left of the screen if it can

You can still name your pet, you have to do it in their lil card
No I mean pet name displaying on the pet side bar, and on the map. I like seeing my pets name with the pet.
Its why I name them.

Thanks for starting this thread! I'm really enjoying the game and spending a lot of time on my farm.
I have a small suggestion regarding the new UI layout. As you can see in the screenshot, the information pop-ups (like the egg status) right above the inventory take up a bit too much space. It makes it quite difficult to see what’s happening right under my character’s feet or manage the tiles in the center.
I’d love to enjoy the beautiful details of the game more clearly! It would be amazing if these windows could be scaled down or moved slightly so they don’t obstruct the main view. Thank you for all the hard work!
this would belong to a #1392937407715868773 post 🫶 this thread is specific to the new UI because some of the new changes were controversial or changed the way we garden, so the devs are kindly working with the community to see what works best moving forward.

It was better when if was just clear bars more visibility and I dont think id use the compact mode much because pets lose hunger fast
thank you so much for this feedback! yes - it's definitely on our list to redesign that part of the UI. it's one of the last parts of the interface that isn't using our game engine, so we'll need to port it over
i'm not sure i understand - the the compact mode isn't an "option", we just made the pet sidebar take up less space (same as the old layout)
Lol I saw the picture with the one pet and say it called compact style so I guess I assumed it was compacted into one like in the picture. I was saying the ui was way better when it was clear.

they just take up less space, just like the old design

thanks for the feedback - can you send a screenshot of what you're playing on so I can get a sense of what it's covering up? generally i wouldn't expect over to the side to be making it hard to see things
Game is super fun tho 🙂 u may need a warning for it @real oasis its too addictive I find myself sitting waiting by the shop for the weaver and in fears it will come while im in the bathroom or sleeping. Or after I wasted my money 🤣 😭
Its not covering anything it was just clear before so just see what's under easier. My complaint with the ui for a Samsung would be when we are in the call to play the game maybe even if you could shift the buttons for sell garden and store to the right because if your face picture from voice call is at the top u go to click on sell then click ur face and its super annoying LOL

again i apologize if this has already been discussed: When exiting my inventory having to clear my filter selections to get back to my original quick queue inventory is a quite tedious extra step for me personally, Especially when moving plants with pots, i open my inventory to find a specific plant, so i filter plants, then want to pot something else which is my 2 slot. but when I close inventory now all plants are in the quick queue even after closing the inventory.
i personally really enjoyed that update, made it a lot easier to use specific items without having to open the inventory multiple times. If im decoring i can filter only decor easily, have them in quick access and basically brainstorm.
that works for every item. please dont change that
there are times the discussed aspect has both been a hindrance and an aid to me. And I'm not sure if there is a way to do both. I don't think there is
At times I do suffer the issue foraged expressed. At other times I have taken advantage of it the way liv expressed
So in this rare instance I feel both are correct
It -is- a tedious extra step to reset the quick queue. And it also has helped me quickly add temporary items to the quick queue without replacing the entire queue
I just don't know a good solution to this beyond dealing with the hassle of manually disabling the filters
Give ppl the option to lock items into the 1st 5/6 slots.
If you lock them, they stay there even with filters on i.e. filtered items appear after hotbar items.
If you don't, only filtered items appear.
I suggested a customised hotbar earlier and devs have confirmed they're working on it.

I really miss being able to see my pet hunger bar in inventory quick view.
why: I have lots of pets and like to use them efficiently. Being able to swap them out from inside my inventory has been a huge improvement so again thank you for that.
However: I tend to swap my pets a lot playing a few minutes or sometimes more at a time thru the day. I swap my pets out and then toward the end of the day I feed all my pets that are below half health being able to see their hunger in inventory, I could quickly see who needs to get switched in to be fed.
As it stands, this is one of the features that has really shortened my play time and attention span for the game. I find it extremely tedious to do the extra clicks to see who is hungry especially because I'm also mentally categorizing who to switch in based on food type. My mental train of thought is disrupted with jumping around and not having the information at my brains fingertips.
For this reason I do also miss the in inventory pet names, because my brain says "I need to feed Kiki, butterfree, and Calvin" because I know what abilities the pet has and what i use them for by their name.
but the bigger issue for me is the hunger bar.
In regards to pet mutations, may i suggest what subnautica did with their geodes in the sequel?
chances used to be 33.33% for copper but in the sequel they made it so that if you open 3 geodes you are guaaranteed 1 copper 2 titanium.
because the pets have a 0.1 % to be rainbow, which just by itself should be 1 in every thousand and with pet mutation boost II that can go up to 0.11 (not very significant, but an increase is an increase)
but statistics dont always do what statistics are supposed to do which means that my husband has hatched 1998 eggs and me 808. which between the two of us shouldve averaged 2/3 rainbow pets but so far has been 0
and thats just for the one, now imagine how many eggs would need to finish the journal...
the plant journal is fun, the pet journal we are probably not even going to try and complete at this rate.
