Very unfortunate. 7,400+ eggs and my highest level rainbow is still a crop eater. There is a workaround for protecting valuable crops but it still stings. Turkey with rain granter or the winter pets with snow/frost granter will proc on still-growing crops making it slightly less time-consuming, so I usually use them first to make sure all are mutated before switching to rainbow, which also can proc on growing crops.

Hi, is it possible to prevent selling crops that I need to feed my current team?

Yes its possible, but there are two approaches:

1. (simple but annoying) You can mark a plant species as "pet food", in that case, when you try to sell your crops, the game rejects the sell action because the batch contains items considered pet food

2. (smarter but more complex) same starting poing, you define a species as pet food, then when you sell:

• the system detects which items in your inventory are pet food
• if favorites them auto
• it performs the sell
• after the sell, it unfavorites the pet food items

In theory this second option is the best, the problem is the game has a request/action rate limit (roughly on the orger of 100 requests per second)

So if you have say 50-60 pet food items:

• favoriting them = 50-60 actions
• Selling: +1 action
• Unfav them: 50-60 actions
  Thats about 120+ requests in under a second which can work but it can also break usually during the unfav step. So its doable but how reliable it is depends heavily on how many pet food items youre dealing with

Huge thanks to the community for keeping the mod alive, the number of public rooms is pretty solid now and there are always 5-6 player rooms constantly avaible for sale. i’m not gonna lie, the leaderboard idea isn’t new at all, a lot of people have wanted it for a long time. the main issue was that the devs weren’t really into it because it would make the game more "competitive" but lately i see more and more players quitting because there’s basically nothing left to do in the endgame except min-max their pet team and decorate their garden. the game seriously lacks challenge, and not having at least a bit of competition just makes you lose a big chunk of players. let’s be honest, who doesn’t enjoy a little competition in a game.
obviously for people who aren’t competitive, a leaderboard won’t change anything for them, so it’s whatever. so i decided to add this feature because i honestly don’t think it’s going to hurt the community at all. now i’m just waiting to see if avi wants to remove it or not, but for now we’ll call it a test

As the mod keeps growing every day and we’re getting close to 4,000 mod users, Ive upgraded the security of the communication between Arie’s Mod and my server

Improved API Security (Discord Authentication)

Until now, the server had no reliable way to verify that a request actually came from the real player behind it.
That opened the door to people trying to access data as someone else or send forged requests

Starting in v3.0.0, Community Hub features now require Discord authentication so I can:

• Confirm the identity of players making requests
• Block impersonation / tampering attempts
• Better protect sensitive community features (messages, leaderboards, etc.)

Community Hub Changes

• Added Discord auth to access Community Hub / Overlay features
• Moved Public Rooms into the Community Hub for consistency (it uses the secured API)
• Added an option in My Profile to unlink / desync your Discord authentication anytime if needed

Known Status

This is brand new and I haven’t had time to test every edge case.
It should be functional overall, but if you run into issues (messages, friend requests, anything weird), ping me. I’ll be around for the next few hours to patch bugs quickly

Im pushing one last big update focused on API optimization and security for the Community Hub, so it’ll probably stay down for the rest of today while I test everything. Sorry lol, but I really need to do these optimizations because every person using the Hub sends requests to my server, and that costs money
Also, since the last optimization, we dropped from ~3.5M requests per 24h to ~1.5M. And not everyone has updated their mod yet, so some people are still running an unoptimized client and will keep generating more traffic than necessary. With the next update, we should be able to go below 1M/day pretty easily

Im going to be honest, im completely fried
Ive spent 4 nonstop days optimizing, rebuilding, and rebuilding again the Community Hub and the server that handle it to make everything as smooth, simple, and easy to use as possible

The biggest improvement is the sync for Discord players using the Community Hub. Making it properly cross-platform and fully compatible was a real technical headache, but its done

I’ll write a proper changelog tomorrow because my brain is officially out of service, but heres the short version:

• A real Community Overlay, fully functional
• Fast and responsive
• Real-time updates
• Added a small Support button in Settings (people asked how to support me, so now it’s there)

So here's what I think it is. Check your watering cans and crop cleanser alerts. Are they still on when you have 99? They'll alert when you do that. Only way I've learned to fix is to get the threshold below 99, turn the alerts off, and buy them back up to 99.

At least I was able to track mine down to items with a cap

Bingo. When I went to feed my pets I clicked on the bell and that was the alert. I'm capped at 99 right now so it can't clear.

Basically u have a cap of 99 cleansers/watercans. When u have 99 in ur inventory the button becomes disabled. Due to wonky logic when u select pets, or other stuff the locking still works in the background but the alert happens. It wont buy but itll appear

"technically" the locker works for roses, just the general locker settings, no overrides yet. So you can set it to lock all plants or whatever to all and roses will get it too. Janky but possible.

2 main reasons:

1. This is the first time you use the locker, this is always laggy the first time just reload the page
2. The mod lost the connection between the server game and was unable to reconnect (ill try to investigate thzt)

hi we are playing in a private discord together with friends, not using aries mod. we get random players joining us all the time so we cant play all 6 togehter.

is there any way to block people from joining?

means one of ur friends is using aries or some1 else who was in room was

but if u download aries theres a way to make ur room private (all your friends who r in the room with u have to set it aswell)

this way other mod users wont be able to join your room

@fallen bay As Hyrulien said, if people were able to join you, it means one of your friends has the mod installed and their room is set to public. Since i've run into this issue quite a few times with people joining private Discord rooms, Im going to add a clear message in the next update for all players using the mod with the Community Hub enabled, letting them know their room is currently public and that they can switch it to private to avoid this kind of situation. I think a lot of people use the mod without really understanding all of its features, which is why these problems keep happening, i'll going to make this much clearer

Heres how public rooms work in detail:

• A room is created as public when a player launches the game with the mod and their room privacy is set to Public in the "My profile" section (and by default its set to public)
• As long as that player stays connected to the room, it will remain visible to all players who have the mod. The moment they leave the room, it gets removed server-side, so its no longer visible to anyone else.
• One extra nuance: if there are multiple mod users in the same room, with different privacy settings (some private some public), public tkaes priority, meaning the room will be visible

Basically, you can set a threshold (as a percentage) for when you want to be notified that one of your pets is starving. For example, if you set it to 10%, any pet whose hunger drops below that threshold will trigger a notification
