Okay, so since the rooms and friends features were pretty well received, but like I said before, I really underestimated how many players are using the mod. I thought there would be around 50, and right now as I’m writing this there are about 450.
This basically blew up the infrastructure I originally planned for those features. At this pace, the features will stop working starting tomorrow.
I re-did the calculations assuming a much higher number of users now (around 1k), with more frequent updates (every minute). The new infrastructure is set up and should be able to handle things indefinitely now.
I still need to migrate the data for your friends lists, etc., to the new infrastructure, so the migration will happen in about 20 minutes. After that, any new friend requests or new friends you add will not be saved. The friends features (sending/accepting requests, adding friends, etc.) will only start working again in the next mod update.
I hope this message is not too long and that it’s still clear for everyone

for the log, it would be mainly appreciated to have a way to filter for multiple things. For example, let the user filter for both rainbow and gold granter or let the user filter through rainbow granter and size booster procs

🔒 Privacy & Data Usage

Public Rooms and Friends features work by reading some of your in-game data and syncing it to a remote server.

If you don’t want your data to be collected, you can:

• Hide your room from the public rooms list
• Disable all your privacy settings

⚠️ Important: if you do this, the Friends features will no longer work, since you won’t exist from the server’s point of view.

🔁 Migration & Compatibility

Please note that the old version still runs on the old infrastructure.
You will only see your friends online if they are also using the new update, and the same applies to Public Rooms.

⏳ As long as not everyone has updated yet, it may take some time before the Public Rooms list feels as active as before.

🤝 QPM Mod Recommendation

The #1442406863282110484 also includes Public Rooms support and has a more advanced room manager than Arie’s Mod. I strongly recommend checking out the work done there too, it’s really well made!

Hey so just so I understand. I have to have the global locker on for all crops then have overrides in place? I was thinking I could just block harvesting of 75%+ sunflowers, weavers, and binders.

But I have to enable all locks in order to do that?

I couldn't care less about a 99% grape

The global locker applies to all of your crops. If you want different rules for a specific crop, you need to override that crop. For example, if you only want to block three plant varieties, set the global locker to “Allow” with no filters, then override those three crops individually

If you are in the same room as someone, I cannot hide your inventory because they have direcly access to those data from Room > Players

I can manage to do that but is it very usefull? If you wanna be safe, just make your room private so no one can join and can access to your inventory

Room > players > inspect inventory pulls data from game side while friends list > inspect inventory is server-sided

I don't know if this was reported. I thought I lost a cow but this cow moved on its own from my inventory to the hutch when I called the team of refund pets (3 chickens) using the keybind. I was able to get the bug again with a turkey that moved by itself. I tried it again and I was able to screenshot mu inventory before I use the keybind to change the active pets team (all my pets are in the hutch) and after I used it. I am using Arie alone on firefox (Windows 10). Also my inventory is full so I wonder if it moves a pet to get a spare space to be able to move from the hutch to the inventory and from the inventory to active pets.
Tested it out, this doesn't happen when you have a spare space in the inventory.

Hi just a quick heads-up thats update is taking a bit longer than expected. We're currently rebuilding the sprite system from scratch with @languid canopy
We've redone everything end-to-end on the game's new engine, and progress is going well so far. The goal is to make the system "future-proof", if the game adds new items, plants or anything else in the future updates, the mod should automatically detect the new sprites and include them without us having to constantly update the mod manually

We're on the right track. Once the module is finished, I'll be able to get back to regular updates and focus on fixing some existing bugs

I was only fetching sprites from the magicgarden domain, so if you werent using that domain you couldnt fetch sprites. Ive now connected all domains (discord, magicgarden, magiccircle and starweaver) so sprite fetching should work everywhere without issues
