I'm very much enjoying the course and enjoy Stephen's teaching style, however, I despise doing my own art in any way, shape, or form. As the course has started getting into landscape tools, I'm getting really discouraged because it's incompatible with what I want to do. I would like to focus on the programming side and eventually partner with someone who is artistically inclined. Is it a stretch to expect to find that type of partnership at some point. Or are digital art skills kind of a requirement in this field?
#How important for a programmer is the realistic landscapes section of the UE5 Ultimate Course?

From what I've seen from some developers I know, having at least a basic understanding of all the different aspects is ideal. You need a basic understanding to really be able to manage the project.
If you rely totally on someone else for such a large part of your project you could run into some big issues.
I skipped some of the landscaping section for similar reasons. Sculpting landscapes and placing rocks and trees in it is not my thing. Nice to know how to do and then you can move on. The later sections really don’t rely on having a landscape and allow you to focus more on coding. Some minor UI will crop up that is important but nothing big.
