Press WINDOWS KEY + R on your keyboard and then type %AppData%\.minecraft\mods and press the Enter key or press on Ok and send a screenshot of the files in the folder

If you go to Installations at the top and then click on this for that entry and go to the mods folder from there, does it open the same one?

yep, I guess essential does a non-standard installation, so just move all the mods into that one
