I can launch the game, but it just doesn't load at all and the CPU usage drops to 0%

I have tried removing all other mods but as long as skytils is in my mod folder the issue continues

This is the error which keeps popping up in logs before cpu drops to 0%

if you remove Skytils from your mods folder, does it launch?

Yes, it works perfectly without Skytils

Was there an fml log in the logs folder as well?
