so when i launch forge its set to 1.8.9 in forge but when i launch it gets error code 1 and when i go into game versions of the install it says "release forge-11.15.1.2318" and crashes but when i set the version to 1.8.9 it does launch normally (but without the forge mods ofc) so its def a forge problem, idk what to do since i have tried everything i could think off (redownload curseforge, remove all mods, redownload java/the minecraft launcher) nothing has worked so far so i would appreciate any help/tips :(

remove it

and remove the 1.8.9 folder

it purposefully crashes first launch to do some setup stuff
