It is on skyclient. You can update through both and it gives you at least a week to update it. Not that hard to hit the update later button, wait 5 secs for it to download, play, close the game. And boom updated wow so hard

So in any mining area, you have high mining fatigue, this is so that the custom mining can work without the client side trying to break blocks, however this means that all block breaks are server side, and for low high players, this can be annoying and can mean that mining can be slower, my best guess as to how this happens is hypixel doesn't check where you're clicking, but instead checks what blocks you're clicking on. This means that if a high ping player holds a click in a straight line, facing a wall of hardstone that he can instamine, he doesn't break it all imedetly, he tells the server to break the first one, then hypixel removes that block on the serverside and tells the client that block has been removed, then the client tells the server to break the second one, and so on, On high ping, this can make mining hard stone really slow, you cant run forward and hold click to farm worms, as the stone would take too long to break, you cant powder grind as efficiently, and many more other problems.

My soloution is just to add a feature that, if you can instamine hardstone, and toggled on, the clientside would instamine the hardstone and tell the server to break all the blocks that the clientside just mined. This would make mining feel like how a 0 ping player (if they even exist) would mine, and just make life a whole lot easier.

TL;DR Remove the slowness of mining in crystal hollows for high ping players with a simple clientside modification and no ping hacks.

it would have no reason to beam you all it's doing is breaking more blocks, and, if you want, you could code it so it sends each block break individualy, a few milliseconds apart, so that to the server, you're not breaking any blocks that you can't reach

A better solution would be to calculate the block strength and your mining speed client side and just mark the block as broken as soon as the client thinks so. Then you could colour the block differently and move directly to the next block without asking watchdog for an end of your addiction

This way you could also shoe an small timer that counts down until the block gets broken, similar to fishing timer from hypixel

We don't exactly known how hypixel checks wether your block click packet is legit or not. If you break blocks faster than hypixel expects you to break them then you will run into problems. A high ping doesn't save you in those situations.
Let's say a block break takes exactly one second and you have exactly 500 ping to the server: you start at second 0 and want at second 1 the block to be broken. Hypixel registered the start of your block breaking action at second 0.5 (delayed BC of ping) and you need to keep left click pressed on that block for 1.5 seconds until hypixel sends you the confirmation that the block got removed.
You could remove the block already on client side after 1 second and start breaking the block below already, as this changed block click will hypixel only arrive at the time they think your first block break was successful. This could work in theory, but you would need to always have a stable ping. If something in that Formular gets shifted slightly in any direction, hypixel will either block you from breaking the first block fully or detects in worst case invalid packet information. Either way, too dangerous and unstable for real world. Especially if this logic doesn't have to work for one block break correctly but for every block you break in the Ch. This would mean even if there is only a slight change something will go wrong, it will go wrong just because it happened soo often.

The low ping miners will keep their benefits for the time being

just a thought: when i was grinding sand in the mushroom desert, i got a few ghost blocks. i'd walk in to what looked like air and get bounced back. the thing was, if i broke the blocks underneath where the ghost blocks were, i'd still get the sand if it were sand under there, and didn't get banned or kicked. now on the server side, this must look like i'm breaking a block without being able to see it, because ghost blocks are just where the client doesn't thing a block is, but on the server side a block is there. in theory, if the block breaking packet detection code thing was the same in the crystal hollows, it wouldn't detect anything suspicious when you break a block without being able to see it.

yeah except skytils has their own little variation of the hypixel api called hylin and that thing's been on public archive for a while

i would love to scrape skycrypt for that same info but unfortunately it wouldn't fly by the skytils devs

so it's either hylin wakes up from its slumber or you get another mod to do this

Sadly no. I've tried that for my mod. Hypxiel does not show you how many fishes you have caught in the odger inventory. Just what medals you have got so far

You can disable the mod in your Essential settings. That option has been there since it was out of beta.

We have no plans of making bad decisions to make essential "more intrusive"

In fact one of our projects that came from user feedback was the ability to disable auto updates. Which is now done.

Btw! Remember that we've done a ton for the legacy modding community. Two great examples are relaunch and the ability to use mixin 0.8 on 1.8.9 🙂
