More in detail, get session stores your session ID (because it is the session) as well as other information about you. Since there have been vulnerabilities surrounding Sessions in the past it probably isn't in a mod creator's best interest to access the player name in that way. If you notice, SBA does not access your name that way because it does not need to for any of its functionality. To say this kindly, mods don't need your session so they shouldn't be touching it. Regardless of how that data is eventually accessed.

@vague tundra Just a few hours ago Lunar Client released their new patch notes 21 which introduced Toolchain, allowing the forge mod loaders to load before the mod themselves. This change hopefully should be making it easier to get any mod essentially integrated within the client, and they are interested in doing so. Suggesting to get into contact with the Lunar team and maybe start working on skytils implementation, shouldn’t take long for the process and would mean another huge lot to the skyblock players on lunar as well as bw players that chill in sb like me.
