# Steps
1. Uninstall your current Spotify version if it isn't 1.2.79.427 (Revo Uninstaller is recommended)
2. Download the batch file
3. Run the batch file and read the information inside the cmd

Seems to have worked for me, I uninstalled with revo, then ran the bat from above.

2 things, i clicked the download button on discord and nothing happened? I ended up just copying it into a batch file I made myself and it worked fine, I assume this is a me issue but yea

second, when spotify opened after running the bat it said there is a new version of blockthespot available and asked if i wanted to update to the new version, is this normal? I clicked no but I'm not sure if that was correct or not

So it ain't your fault, however I have a way to "bypass" this

Yes it is normal, this "new version of blockthespot available" is just a false positive don't worry.
It doesn't matter if you choose yes or not this will not change your Spotify in any way or shape, speaking of which is broken I hope mrpond fix BTS auto updater

Download this zip file, and extract batch file in the location of your choice.
Then, follow the instructions

Quick reminder: The batch Spotify Uninstaller is not working, you're going to have to Uninstall Spotify by yourself if that's the case. I'll fix this when I have free time if possible

What exactly are Spotify doing to patch against this, changing memory offsets and links to throw off client side fakery>

In December it went down, we changed one value in the config file then worked again, so this is intentional on Spotify's side not an accidental break

dpapi is the core issue, is there not a direct way of patching it on any version? The auto updator has no effect, but if you are signed into an old account and will lose it uninstalling by resetting auth login tokens then delete it restart you can use normally with ads

the bat no longer works, if you see the link that its trying to grab, the way the patch worked previously using a specific dll, that is no longer working, so the dev is working on something else. and until that gets stable, there wont be a new release for a working bat version. fyi
