If you see this warning it means it's too late, it already updated on its own and you need to downgrade again.
First downgrade, after you downgrade DO NOT open Spotify yet: Run the bat and select option number 1. Now it should work and you've just blocked Spotify's Automatic Updates

Alternatively, If this method still doesn't work: go on your file explorer on this location: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and replace your hosts file to this hosts file or edit it, then restart your device so the changes take effect
This will block any Spotify Update

If you want to revert this, edit your hosts file again and REMOVE these strings:

0.0.0.0 upgrade.scdn.com
0.0.0.0 upgrade.spotify.com
0.0.0.0 www.spotify-desktop.com
0.0.0.0 beta.spotify.map.fastly.net
0.0.0.0 prod.spotify.map.fastlylb.net
0.0.0.0 sto3-accesspoint-a88.sto3.spotify.net```
After that save your hosts file and the Update Blocking should be reverted

have you tried ending all spotify processes in task manager, then reopening spotify? or restarting your computer? or reinstalling spotify & bts? if those don't work, i'd suggest opening your own thread with more detail describing your issue.
