I have 7 different TV series and I want to watch one different series each day. I created 7 schedules and added one different series to each of these seven schedules. I then went to the Playout list and created 7 alternate Schedules. In the Days of week field in the edit content I checked one different day of the week and selected a different schedule for each of the alternate Schedules. I noticed in the in playout Detail list that one of the series was ignored and the same series scheduled for the previous day was shown. Specifically, as shown in the image, the series scheduled for August 22nd (Saturday) did not appear, and a series scheduled for the previous day, August 21st (Friday), appeared instead. As an experiment, I tried creating 6 alternate Schedules and checked a different day for each of these schedules. I noticed that none of the scheduled programs were ignored. This problem seems to occur when creating 7 or more alternate Schedules and checking only one day for each of these schedules.
So I would like to know why this issue occurs. Is it some kind of bug? I have also attached a MediaFire link to a video explaining the steps I took. I hope it helps you understand the problem.

#Creating 7 alternate Schedules Causes One Scheduled Program to Be Ignored
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
There has to be a default schedule. The one on the bottom. Assign the six above it. Leave the bottom one with no specific day and it will be used on the day with no schedule assigned.
or add a 8th schedule as the default which will never be used
If I understood well what you mean, the one at the bottom, which is Thursday, I put it above the number 6 that you mean, which is Friday test 6. I did that and nothing changed in the programs. I also tried changing the order of all the days and nothing changed either, but when you said to add an eighth table as a default, do I put it at the bottom in place of the empty table as in the picture? I did that and the Saturday program is still missing and Friday is displayed in its place.
that should work
I did what you told me but the Saturday program is still missing and the program of the Friday series is showing up in it's place, as you can see in the picture.
Your schedule is not continuous. Why is that?
Perhaps you mean by "non-continuous" the order in which the episodes of Jackie Chan's TV series are shown on playout detail list? The file name for this series was
1_Jackie_Chan
2_Jackie_Chan
3_Jackie_Chan
Then I changed its file name to:
01
02
03
Now, the episode order in the Playout Detail is now consecutive. This also solves the episode order. I was wondering why some series start with episode number 10 instead of 1. This means that there is a slash next to the episode number in the file name, will affect the order of the episodes in the Playout list. It's good to know this, but it doesn't seem to be related to the problem with this series showing on Saturdays, which is designated for Fridays.
I was referring to the dates and times. there seems to be overlaps and gaps. i expect a new program to start right after the last one ends. with regards to order, if they are in the system as tv shows, they should play in the order that they aired regardless of the filename.
Yes, you are right, the schedule seems discontinuous and has overlaps and gaps because it is a test schedule. To make it easier to identify the problem, As you know, I wanted to create a schedule that air one episode per week for each series, so I created a 7-alternate schedule and In the Days of week field in the edit content I checked one different day in each of these schedules to air one new episode per week. As you can see in the schedule, it shows one new episode per week for each different series, but as you can see, there is a day, which is Saturday, in which the same series is shown as the day before it, which is Friday, even though I created a schedule for Saturday that contains a different series, but it is not shown in the schedule for an unknown reason.
Post the schedule for friday and saturday
I have attached a video that explains the content of the schedule that I created for Friday. The name of the schedule is (Friday Test 6). The name of the program is Jackie Chan. Also, the schedule for Saturday is (Saturday Test Schedule 7). The name of the program is Double Dragon. I also attached pictures that clarify the program for Friday and Saturday. I also hope that there is someone who can create 7 schedules and choose 7 series and create 7 test alternate schedules and check only one day in (days of week) field in each schedule and see if all the programs will be shown without repetition.
You haven't posted the actual schedule, just the playout. I should point out that the classic/flood schedule is not designed for what you are trying to do, ie to schedule specific shows at specific times during the week. It is more for selecting collections of videos, decide the order in which they will play and leaving the system to flood the playout using the selected videos. To see how it works i suggest you remove the specific start times and allow it to flood the playout and see if it does what would be expected.
Then take a look at Block Scheduling, that will do what you require. With a bit of finesse you might be able to use yaml playouts as well. However for time and item specific scheduling, Block Scheduling is the standard in etv.
Hope that helps
Thanks for the details, for the block scheduling do I have to first create the block under the scheduling list and then I can schedule specific shows at specific times from the playout menu? I've searched everywhere and haven't found any example or tutorial about the block scheduling
