I have been on "Database Initializiing" since last night. Is there a common mistake I might be making to cause this?

which os are you using
if its a brand new installation, just stop etv, delete the config folder, and start it up again but let it finish creating the db
if its an existing installation there's a query you can use to unlock the db migrations

I am Win 11.
It's a brand new Install, if I canceled the first go it couldn't have been running a full second, I thought I caught it before it took off.

yeah that would do it, it should be pretty fast, you can open the logs folder from the tray icon, go up one (to the config folder), close etv, empty the config folder, and start it back up

I might need some help with this, I was upgrading my existing installation incrementally and this happened at version 25.5 on win 11

I upgraded to the latest version, it still displayed the same message but no longer hangs thank you!

for posterity, i can't think of any reason to do incremental upgrades - every version contains all database migrations required to get from the original release of etv to the version from the release that is running
