Are you adding the libraries from Plex or Local access? It might be easier to add from Plex.

Plex, I sign in, my server shows up, I select the libraries I want to synchronize, they show up in Media > Libraries, I click scan, it loads for several seconds and shows this in terminal, but nothing shows up in Media > TV Shows or Movies afterwards

Sounds like your using the Plex libraries. Try Libraries>Your library and click on the magnifying glass

I would say wait a bit. Just testing with Jellyfin and getting something similar.IIRC, I think scanning is on a background thread so it might not appear immediately.

Give a 10 minutes or so. There was no error there

i dont really know how ersatztv scanning works, it needs to scan all the local files is that correct?

No. Not anymore.

It pulls the metadata from your media server and stream the actual files if it can access them otherwise it streams from the server
