the audio becomes out of sync after 1 or 2 transitions on dev build. i say 1 or 2 transitions because if the channel has been playing long enough the audio becomes out of sync after the first transition. but if im near the end of the first movie the first transition will not cause the audio to become out of sync and will then becomes out of sync on the second transition.

haven't been able to reproduce this yet after a couple hours of sitcoms. looking for some more info to help:

  1. ETV version
  2. Channel streaming mode
  3. FFmpeg Profile screenshot
  4. How much of a desync is there? Less than a second? Greater than a second?
  5. Is the desync constant or does it get worse the longer the channel is watched?

looks like at least one of you is on windows, will try there since it updates ffmpeg more frequently than other versions. could be a change or regression in ffmpeg behavior on windows

yes im on windows for my servers only but the client is emby for android tv

#

ill try to get you that info. i have just installed etv over top of the version i had so i need to see if its still out of sync

first transition theres no issue. im waiting for the second transition but its a movie so could be about an hour. i have made a bunch of changes though.installed etv develop version over top of newest etv develop version. added a 2.5gbps ethernet switch. restarted emby server for windows from within emby server ui dashboard. killed all servers with my server stop script. rebooted server pc.

#

it still has this warning in ffmpeg though[14:47:18 DBG] Checking for JS Script at C:\Users\User0\AppData\Local\ersatztv\scripts\audio-stream-selector\movie.js [14:47:18 WRN] Unable to locate movie audio stream selector script; falling back to built-in logic [14:47:18 DBG] SelectAudioStream duration: 00:00:00.0010776

when it gets out of synce its like a second off and yes i think it gets greater than a second the longer its watched. still waiting on the second transition though since im not out of sync yet after the first transition after my changes

i dont think its happening anymore but the next transition is the grinch cartoon so its hard to say if its out of sync since its a cartoon. possibly the delay was caused by an emby update though and maybe just restarting the emby server properly was the fix

#

or possible another revision of the emby auto update was pushed that fixed it. not sure

#

though the emby server version hasnt changed so maybe not. still on emby server for windows Version 4.7.10.0

#

could have just been when it changed from 4.7.9.x to 4.7.10.0

#

then the proper restart maybe corrected it after that

#

ill keep watching it though

#

grinch cartoon has ended. it transitioned to the next movie scrooged. sound is still not out of sync
