I am having an issue with the xmltv generated for my first lone channel. There are duplicates of each episode, 3 to be precise, all with three different start and end times for each entry. When in fact it's just one media item that's scheduled and played out. If I reset the playout it generates a new xmltv for the new playout order, but the duplicates are still there. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

What's the schedule like? Do you have the show scheduled or a collection?

I have 2 collections scheduled, one is the shows and one is filler. The shows collection is on playout mode one and the filler collection on multiple, guide mode filler so it's hidden.

So that might be what's showing up in xmltv then?
But it still has the metadata from the previous item that wasn't filler

Yeah I wasn't too sure how to go about it so I made it like this

Sure, you could setup a filler preset as pre or post roll with that collection and multiple 2 and it would play after each item in the collection
Then set the shows to flood
I might have broken that filler guide mode when adding the new filler system

This is the first schedule item, the shows, which has pre-roll and post-roll filler, and those are set to idents/bumpers that play just before or after each show.
Wasn't sure how to do idents/bumpers in another way
I wanted it like
Show > Ident > Filler > Ident > Show
Come to think of it maybe I should be using Tail on the Shows schedule item for idents in that way

can you dm me a link to your ersatztv.sqlite3 database file from the config folder? that would probably be the easiest way to reproduce here
if youre on windows you can open the logs folder from the tray icon and go up one folder
