in exchange for your (future) help, here is some insight i gained while building it.
1)use bamboo for biomass and melons for seed oi, if you don't want to envelop the map with farmland
2)the fertile soil from farmer's delight is a godsend
3)the machine doesn't need to run 24/7. have a buffer, and shutdown the production of ethanol when it is 80% full (restart when it's 50% empty). this not only reduces lag, but also allows the slower biomass production to keep up
4)do not waste seed oil or ethanol (god forbid) on powering the biomass-making blaze burners. use lava instead (4-5 cauldrons is enough)
5) lava engines are still smaller and simpler (especially with C:CaA cutting out the bucket middle-man). Build the biomass machine anyway, because solving such engineering challenges are fun

If I recall correct there is only surface cane to make sugar, unless farmers delight adds another method. I have found that stacking disks of sugarcane works well, you can plant it densely with surrounding a water source with four surface cane, and staggering the cross shapes. However only let the sugar cane grow 2 tall as the harvesters don’t always grab the third high stalk. I find that 5 radius on the harvesters provides a lot passively, and that was running one dial, I’m sure 2 or 3 dials would increase your yield to produce sufficient quantity.
And it can all be run off a horizontal water wheel with the radial chassis, and only need one output if you use the same chassis for the entire height
thanks for help also, is there eny ratio on how much sugar will the farm with a given amount of sugarcane plants produce? i want to be as precise as possible
