I want to raise a very clear question: Why are players being banned for AFK farming in D15 Long Shade, while AFK ship farming all day long is not punished at all? If the reason given is “using third-party software,” then let’s be honest – who hasn’t used it? Without it, how could anyone AFK ship at D13 all day?

This shows a clear lack of fairness. If the decision has been made to no longer allow any third-party tools, then why wasn’t there an official and transparent announcement to the community? Players have been playing this way for years, and suddenly banning them without proper notice is unreasonable.

Meanwhile, far more serious issues like item duplication, which completely destroys the game’s economy, are still not properly dealt with. AFK players are treated like criminals, while those who truly harm the game continue to exist without consequences.

If AFK is considered a violation, then everyone should be treated equally – not just selectively punished. This selective enforcement is what truly makes the community feel disappointed and question the fairness and transparency of Trove.

One more blunt question: Why hasn’t an effective anti-hack system been developed? Or to put it plainly, is the development team unable to do it? This game is 11 years old — don’t make us laugh by failing to take responsibility for protecting the game.

While I understand the need to maintain fair play, the context and inconsistency surrounding this action feel deeply unfair and have prompted me to voice my concerns about the game's enforcement policies.

The reason given for my ban is the use of third-party software. However, it is an open secret within the community that AFK ship farming in D13—an activity that, by its very nature, requires similar tools to remain active for extended periods—is not met with the same consequence. This creates a clear and painful double standard. It feels unjust to be singled out and punished for one form of AFK farming, while another, more prevalent form continues unchecked. If a line is being drawn, it must be applied equally to all players to maintain any sense of fairness.

Furthermore, the lack of transparency in this process is disheartening. If there has been a decisive shift in policy to prohibit all third-party tools, why has there not been a clear, official, and widespread announcement to the community? For years, players have operated under a certain understanding. To suddenly enforce a new standard without prior warning feels like a betrayal of the player base's trust and is, with all due respect, an unreasonable way to manage a live game.

What adds to the frustration is the perception that while AFK players like myself are treated as violators, far more destructive issues, such as item duplication exploits that severely damage the game's economy, seem to persist without decisive action. This selective enforcement makes it feel as though the smaller, perhaps easier-to-punish offenses are targeted, while the root causes of greater harm are neglected.

I must also respectfully ask a difficult question: After 11 years, why does Trove still lack a robust and effective anti-cheat system capable of handling these core problems? I ask this not to insult, but out of a genuine concern for the game's health. As players who are invested in Trove, we worry when the responsibility of safeguarding the game seems to fall short.

I love Trove and have invested significant time and passion into it. My frustration stems from seeing it being harmed by inconsistencies and a lack of clear communication. I implore you to not only review my case with the context of these enforcement inconsistencies in mind but also to provide the community with the transparency and consistent application of rules it deserves.
