If the further rarity changes are gonna be like the current one, just don’t do it at all.

Most of the cars that all of us anticipated to change in rarity stayed while some niche specialists get pumped up to higher rarity. This I not how this game works.

And Robin if you are reading this, for the love of god and all that’s holy actually play the ****ing game and use TDR for once

It’s the same for everyone you might not like the changes but we all have the same cars move

So far, only E and F cars have been changed. It only gets really interesting from B and higher anyway. Let's wait and see what the changes there will be. Not all the changes so far have been surprising.

You’ve understood it wrong, it’s not about if I like it or not, it’s bc hutch is not actually knowing how to balance the game, meaning that after the rarity change we are gonna get more unbalanced cars, over RQed and under RQed. While the cars that deserve a RQ change remains unbalanced.

I’m saying this not bc I don’t like the changes. I don’t have half the cars that got changed so far anyway so it doesn’t really concerns me. I’m saying this bc one shouldnt support changes just for the sake of changes, but to make the RQ arrangement more sensible. And so far the changes are making the RQ balance less sensible.

Yeah I get it. And yea F and E vehicles don’t affect the game so much. But according to Hutch’s logic so far with car changes, they will ruin the balance with B tier and upwards worse.

So far we’ve seen specialists going up bc they excel at a certain track but full on meta like Mazda NRA staying in an RQ that they don’t belong at all. With this logic we will have cars like Aerial Atom 1 going up let’s say 8 RQ bc it’s very good at slalom or Efijy to Epic bc it’s only good at drag races. While Subaru BRZ being still in the same RQ. The example might not be very exact but you see my point.

you also fail to realise that cars are buffed and nerfed all the time, none of which will have times in TDR. He is not manually calculating the RQ of every car, he is putting them through a formula/program that gives the end result. As long as the formula is consistently applied (which if you understood his latest commentary on how the RQ system will now work) then everything will be balanced because this is the new "balance"

There is a whole other discussion about realism of the stats, which is partially the reason why cars are buffed and nerfed in the first place, but some cars don't have enough real data and others may be tweaked to fit a certain type in game (in particular ground clearance and tyre types)

The cars that moved the most have moved because they are specialists. Robin has talked for hours in general about why certain cars that don’t make sense to people have actually moved. And why certain other cars haven’t moved like the lotus and the mustang. He’s done a fairly good job of explaining the why if you wanted to look through the conversations. The good thing about rarity changes working out the first time is that now if something was missed or needs to be adjusted later to better fit a more balanced rq it can be done. What you see as them messing up is likely purposefully shifting the meta so that ordinary cars are easier to use and specialists cost more in terms of rq.

They meta cars are being adjusted to be less meta because now their rq is only slightly lower than a generalist that has equal performance on that specialist track. It's kinda okay to me tbh because if maxi outperforms every car under 75 rq on hairpin/slalom (for example), it should be slightly under 75 rq because it will be performing the same as a 75 rq on hairpin
