After passing 4000 every event its just racing against 10000+ and placing every event in the bottom 50% of the leaderboard. Its really difficult to lose trophies and drop into 4000 and it feels like there is really no advantage in having more trophies.

But seriously the real issue with that is the amount of players in each trophy bracket. There will probably be a lot of players in the lower trophy brackets but as you get higher and higher there will be less players up to the point where you'll always be in the same bracket as everyone else.
And the rewards, with that many different levels how will they keep increasing the rewards? I don't think giving away carbons for regular events is really fair

cuz even little whales with 5k trophies arent able to win anything higher than p50 in normal event
