It's very frustrating in an event to be outscored by competitors who haven't won a race. Currently I've won 10 and lost 17, yet I:m behind a player who has won 0 and lost 7.

This sort of thing happens quite a lot and seems unfair. Maybe I could suggest double points for your first 3 wins to give you a boost over players who don't win a race but are placing ahead iof others who have.

I don't think it is that simple. The higher you are in the leaderboard, the better you hand need to be, if you want to stay higher.
In other words, having points make you get more loses naturally

Boosting the first 3 wins, will just make you lose more later

You are then potentially awarding 20 points for beating a bot! First in and you get 60 points for nothing.

But it can't be correct to be outscored by someone who hasn't won a race. The person who came 101st in the last event won 6 and lost 12, a 33% win ratio. They were outscored by someone who won 0 and lost 6, a 0% win ratio. How can that be fair??

It wasn't, it was a Daily Event. Happens all the time with these.

I think we can probably agree that being outscored in these events by someone who hasn't won a race is unfair. How that's dealt with is a different discussion maybe.

I think it is Lol. Winning less (or not at all) should not be rewarded. Double simples
