So I downloaded Lawnchair Legacy because new lawnchair has been insanely buggy for me recently. I noticed that it can still actively blur my wallpaper, even though I'm on android 13?
Like no custom wallpapers needed, no root, no special permissions, nothing needed. If I remember correctly modern apps tell you it's something to do with Android 13+ permission systems and that they cannot blur the wallpaper, without some sort of broken workaround.
So shouldn't that mean that Lawnchair Legacy's implementation should be broken? But since it is NOT broken, couldn't this implementation be forward ported to work on newer android versions?
