Was playing the featured dungeon and ran into this predicament. Once I realized where the problem was - and promptly died because of it - I went about recording the issue. That and my commentary on it are both in the attached video. It happens a bit fast, but hopefully this helps and the bug can be patched out quickly.
To the creator of this level, know that there is no shade to you. It is truly great dungeon and I've seriously been enjoying it, you simply got screwed over by a glitch in the mechanics
#[0.11.20.27] Shadow Clones Become Invincible when Killed in Water

Well, thank goodness I had the mirror shield. It seriously came in clutch to prevent them from gaining "drown armor"
hmmm im having issues replacing this
I thought this was patched, because when I uploaded it didn't happened to me. I could get rid of the water just to fix the issue, but I placed the water to restrict the movement in general.
It's plenty doable as is, I just had to be a bit more careful about how I fought the enemies to circumvent the problem. I think trying to use the water for the room was a great idea.
My theory is that since normal (non-flying) enemies - including the Shadow Clones - will instantly drown when they land in water, but the flippers prevent the clones from drowning, when they land in the water from the knockback, the game checks to see if they have the flippers, and since they do, that overrides the death. Therefore, since they aren't considered "dead" as far as the game can tell, despite having 0 HP, they still function normally, but the player can no longer do damage to them since there is no longer damage to be dealt.
If that makes any sense?
I'm not a programmer, so I can't say I know how I'd go about fixing it. But I have messed around with it enough to guess that maybe switching the order enemies check for death might solve the problem?
Can you send me the dungeon? It might be a versioned issue since I could t replicate the issue on my end
It could totally be a version problem, yeah. Because I had a much more water-filled room in the Storm Trident Temple and I never ran into the issue with the clone fight there during my testing either.
This happened to me a few times but i was using the silly magic collection mod when they used an item for some reason the died after use of it
For me it happens really every time if you kill the enemy and he falls into the water in that process. then it becomes invincible every time instead of dying.
