A special type of push block. Whenever the player pushes one, all other linked push blocks in the room also move in the same direction unless blocked by a barrier or object. Would be used in puzzle scenarios where you have to manipulate their positioning to press switches on the other side of a barrier, or use the Ice Rod to create your own barricades, and so forth.

Bonus points: Add a color property (red push blocks, blue push blocks, green push blocks, yellow push blocks, etc.) so that there can be multiple distinct groups of linked blocks in one room.

I know the exact puzzle in which Zelda game that inspired this idea XD

there's several, but i was thinking of unicorn cave and crown dungeon in particular for this one

Though, sticking with the accessibility for colour blindness, shape rune blocks would be a better choice. Square rune block, triangle rune block, circle rune block, and star rune block.

that's fair

Nothing stops them also being coloured, but

color filters would be easier to implement (i know sprite work is always time consuming) but shapes would be more universally accessible

If you're gonna make 4, might as well make all 4 look awesome over copy pasting with colours

id say just make them attached via shape

#

makes the most sense imo

cause you can't have triggers with the same shape condition on a single object

no i mean like

#

when a [SHAPE] block gets pushed, all other [SHAPE] blocks are also pushed
